Who we are
Our website address is: https://webworxshop.com.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies and Web Beacons
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
The use of these cookies allows Google to serve ads to you based on visits to our site and other sites around the internet. You can opt out of targeted advertising at Google’s Ad Settings page.
Embedded content from other websites (including advertising)
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
This site makes use of affiliate links to products and services which are relevant to it’s content (see our Affiliate Disclaimer). These links do not track you or collect any data unless they are clicked on at which point you will be directed to the affiliate site.
We use self hosted Matomo Analytics in order to gain insight into what content is popular on the site. You can opt out of this at Tracking Opt-Out. Collected data is anonymised and you can see what data is collected at https://matomo.org/faq/general/faq_18254/.
Who we share your data with
We do not share any of the data collected by our systems with anyone else, except for user comments (used for spam detection). See below for information about comments. This does not extend to data that may be collected by third parties via our site (detailed above).
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on for our mailing list we will store the provided name and email address for the purposes of sending email updates, until the time that you decide to unsubscribe from the mailing list.
Any data collected by our analytics system is deleted after 90 days.
What rights you have over your data
If you have a mailing list subscription, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service (Askimet). You can find out more about this on their privacy page.
